These plastic bases are designed to be used with our 8' patio umbrellas. Our umbrella poles are designed with a stake on the end so that they may be driven into sand or soft ground without the need of a base. However, if you would like to use your umbrellas on hard surfaces, these bases must be purchased separately. Each base is made of durable white plastic materials that can be filled with either sand or water for weight. These bases weigh 83lbs with water or 121 lbs with sand to keep your umbrellas steady even in moderate winds.
