Map (below) and Hiking Itineary for Trekking-Hiking Shan Gongga Region

1. This is our new forecasted Itinerary [please note the plan has flexibility for weather, and strength considerations…. Can be configured many more ways]
    a. Thursday October 11th fly from Guangzhou to Chengdu, stay in Hotel
    b. Day#1: Friday October 12th- Leave Hotel at 7:45 AM. Drive 12 hours straight to Yulongxi. Do not stop in Kangding. Tom Patton can split driving task [I        drive illegally in China all the time, no problem]. Arrive in Yulongxi early evening. Stay in Guest House, price included in trip fee.
    c. Day#2: Saturday October 13th-Stay in Yulongxi, acclimize. Stay in Guest House, price included in trip fee.
    d. Day#3: Sunday October 14th-
          i. Alternative 1: depart over 4500 m pass into Moxi Valley. Camp in Tent [5 hours]
          ii. Alternative 2: Leave flexibility in itinerary to continue past Moxi Valley camping site and go to Konka Monestary if we feel strong…. Only a possibility, will               see how strong we are at time. Stay at Konka Monestery, fees included in trip fee. [8 hours]
     e. Day#4: Monday October 15th-
          i. Alternative 1: Depart Moxi Valley and go to Konka Monestary, stay at Konka Monestary, fees included in trip fee [3 hours]
         ii. Alternative 2: If we are already at Konka Monestary from the day before, climb to base camp on this day, return to Konka Monestary, stay at Konka             Monestary fees included in trip fee. [6 hours]
     f. Day#5: Tuesday October 16th-
          i. Alternative 1: Climb to Base Camp and Glacier, return to Konka Monestary, stay at Konka Monestary fees included in trip fee. [6 hours]
          ii. Alternative 2: Leave Konka Monestary and go to Bawang Lake [only 3-4 hours] will have excess time at Bawang Lake? Camp at Bawang Lake
         iii. Alternative 3: If we have already climbed to Base camp and glacier, depart for Zemei Pass, climb Zemei pass and come back down, camp in Zemei            Village? [boring coming back down same trail as we go up]. [5.5 to 6 hours]
         iv. Alternative 4: Leave Konka Monestary and go to Bawang Lake [only 3-4 hours] pass through Bawang Lake and go to CaoKe Village [7 hours] Stay at            CaoKe Village guest house, fee included in trip fees
     g. Day#6: Wednesday October 17th-
          i. Alternative 1: Leave Konka Monestary and go to Bawang Lake; Camp at Bawang Lake [only 3-4 hours]
         ii. Alternative 2: Leave Bawang Lake, go to CaoKe Village, Stay at guest house in CaoKe Village to be coordinated and included in trip fee. Enjoy Hot            Springs? [3 hours]
         iii. Alternative 3 Depart Zemei Village Camp and proceed to Bawang Lake, proceed through Bawang Lake to CaoKe Village- Stay at guest house in CaoKe              Village to be coordinated and included in trip fee. Enjoy Hot Springs? [6 hours]
         iv. Alternative 4 Depart CaoKe and drive straight to Chengdu- Depart at 6:00 AM and arrive around 2:00 PM. Tom Patton to split driving duties, can drive              illegally in China no problem. Shower at a hotel if needed, Pay 10% final fee. Go to Airport fly back to Guangzhou [8 hours]
         v. Alternative 5 Depart Zemei Village Camp and proceed to Bawang Lake, proceed to Bawang Lake, camp at Bawang Lake? [3 hours]
     h. Day#7: Thursday October 18th-
           i. Alternative 1: Leave Bawang Lake, go to CaoKe Village, Stay at guest house in CaoKe Village to be coordinated and included in trip fee. Enjoy Hot               Springs? [3 hours]
           ii. Alternative 2: Depart CaoKe and drive straight to Chengdu- Depart at 6:00 AM and arrive around 2:00 PM. Tom Patton to split driving duties, can drive               illegally in China no problem. Shower at a hotel if needed, Pay 10% final fee [8 hours]
           iii. Alternative 3: Depart CaoKe and drive straight to Chengdu- Depart at 6:00 AM and arrive around 2:00 PM. Tom Patton to split driving duties, can drive               illegally in China no problem. Shower at a hotel if needed, Pay 10% final fee [8 hours]
          iv. Alternative 5 Leave Bawang Lake, go to CaoKe Village, Stay at guest house in CaoKe Village to be coordinated and included in trip fee. Enjoy Hot               Springs? [3 hours]
     i. Day#8: Friday October 19th-
           i. Alternative 1: Depart CaoKe and drive straight to Chengdu- Depart at 6:00 AM and arrive around 2:00 PM. Tom Patton to split driving duties, can drive              illegally in China no problem. Shower at a hotel if needed, Pay 10% final fee. Go to Airport fly back to Guangzhou [8 hours]
          ii. Alternative 5: Depart CaoKe and drive straight to Chengdu- Depart at 6:00 AM and arrive around 2:00 PM. Tom Patton to split driving duties, can drive              illegally in China no problem. Shower at a hotel if needed, Pay 10% final fee. Go to Airport fly back to Guangzhou [8 hours]
