Menu Stands - poor latch design (to raise and lower stand)

The Menu Stands are nice with a heavy base. We have purchased 5 units. Soon after purchasing the last two, two of the first units broke. Then a third unit broke. The latch to adjust the height of the menu stand is made of plastic which breaks after a few adjustments. We recommend that it should be made of metal. We hoped to be able to use these for many years with the ability to raise and lower for our needs. We contacted the company and with much hesitation, finally, they sent us two replacements. Ideally, we would like them to be functional. Properly raise and lower for the desired height. With the broken latch, it will only work in the lowered position.

The product came missing screws and there was a large scratch on the column of the stand. We needed to use the product so could not send back.
