This item is not whatsoever collapsible nor have a knock down design. We just put this together as it was an urgent need for a media conference. Item came with a lot of screws for no apparent reason other than confusion and only came with right amount needed. Screws do not tighten on one side so it is slightly wobbly/squeaky. Only giving two stars as it is elegant.

Kathleen, we sincerely apologize for the confusion. A knock down design is one that can be disassembled and stored flat. This podium does require you to unscrew hardware in order to collapse the display. We appreciate your concern and have passed this along to our product team for review. Thank you for your feedback.
