Looks Good, Embarrassing Workmanship

Looks good, but it's trash. The display is made from cheap, cheap particle board, covered by laminate. It sits on top of the base, separated by metal spacers. Except the particle board is so soft, it crumbles constantly making a mess on the floor, and the spacers fit into pre-drilled holes, but don't secure to it because of the softness of the particle board (tipping hazard). The product description says the plexiglass display comes with hardware to secure it to the base, but it actually doesn't. No idea how this company stays in business.

Pedestal Display Case

First, the stand was so poorly packaged that the glass was damaged and the frame was broken. Secondly, if I had known that this was created with the cheapest materials with a Home Depot LED strip wound around the center support for lighting, I could have had an employee execute this in four hours in my office. I assumed it was a museum quality item for display. It is not.How can a professional display company ship their only source of income in a box like this?
