I was looking for a small footprint standing desk just for my laptop and monitor as I already had a tall desk that didn't need the full standing desk arrangement. This is the ONLY thing I found that had a small footprint that would fit both my laptop and monitor and it is sturdy! It's easy to adjust the height and I have no fears that it will wear out soon. Product came, no assembly which was great. Description of product online good. Fits space exactly how I need it to. The up and down motion is straight up and down which I love. Handles to squeeze are easy to use and the motion of the top very smooth.

There are a lot of ways to work at a standing desk, and what works best for me is having a regular height desk, a monitor on an arm, and something to raise my keyboard/mouse. Ergonomic office stuff is a huge market, so I was surprised when I could find surprisingly few options for an adjustable riser big enough for keyboard/mouse and a cup of coffee and not the entire computer/monitor setup. I needed something that could easily adjust, was stable when typing, and thin enough or small enough to be moved off the desk repeatedly when I'm sitting. As far as I know, there is only ONE other option easily available online, and it only rises to 13", is smaller, and comes in black only. I was surprised when I ordered this, it arrived lightning fast, and was of a quality above what I expect from things like this. The base is solid metal bars, not thin walled tubing! It's also stable as I could hope for at its max height. I couldn't be happier.
