Greeting Card Display, 72 Pocket 5" x 7" Wire Card Holder

This revolving wire rack is floorstanding and features (4) "wings", each with (18) for a total of (72) pockets that accomodate 5" x 7" greeting cards. Each pocket is 5 9/16" wide x 4 3/4" high x 1 1/2" deep. The entire greeting card display is manufactured of sturdy white wire, with a solid white plastic base. The base has a diameter of 20". Also included is a plastic sign holder, which mounts to the top of the display and accommodates your 1/8" thick plastic or acrylic signs. The full unit is 20" in diameter, stands 70". Assembles in minutes with no tools required!!

A lot of cards in a small footprint

At our store, floor space is at a premium (as is our rent), so I went searching for the highest capacity revolving card rack I could find and this is it. Although it holds a whopping 6 dozen designs (432 individual cards), it does so within a very compact 20" diameter. Very impressive. Assembly was quick and easy - a previous reviewer complained about erroneous instructions which seems to have been corrected. Not too crazy about the idea of a plastic base, which ships in a separate box by the way. All our other stands have metal bases and in my experience some types of plastic tends to turn brittle with age. The material is fairly thick and feels a tiny bit pliable, so I guess we'll see. It's probably what keeps the cost down and although shipping in our case was half again the cost of the rack itself it's still less expensive than locally-available racks with half the capacity.

Incorrect instructions, poorly made

When assembling this card display, the bottom pole in the picture instructions is upside-down, which caused problems when I put them together according to the drawing. The poles became stuck, and we had to use a saw to get them apart. Luckily, we were able to still assemble it to work right after flipping the bottom pole around. The display does the job and looks all right, but many of the pockets are very crooked and can't be fixed without taking it apart and welding it back together. If you buy this product, make sure you flip the bottom pole around when assembling it and don't try to push the poles together the way the instructions tell you to!
