After buying one to try, we bought six more. Base is very sturdy and weighted, will not move or be tipped over. Upright section is metal and has rubber-lined openings to route power cord. The frame area that holds the iPad mini is very high quality, with thick beveled, polished plexiglass and looks very professional. The frame can be oriented to either hide or allow the Home button to be used. The power cord can be left plugged into the iPad and routed through the mount and pole. I used a small zip tie to keep the cord from hanging a bit but was very simple. We have several types of iPad stands and this is by far the nicest. Very pleased.
