directions are wrong and can't get the stand put together

I am very frustrated that I got a product with the wrong directions and pieces that don't fit together. When I follow the instructions the card base almost touches the floor and there is a large piece of the pole at the top with nothing on it. Right now the pieces are spread out on my floor. After reading the comments from other customers, it seems to be a universal problem. I will try to jerry-rig it by following the comments on this page, but really isn't acceptable. I hope the company is stepping up to fix this problem. I may be returning the rack.

Design flaw

Shipping was incredibly fast. There is a design flaw. Bottom welded ring sit too low for hooks to fit where they are supposed to go. I made it work by allowing bottom hook ring to dangle but would be better if designed properly.

Works, but not as designed

The design of this rack is flawed. The bottom welded steel ring sits about 8 inches too low for the bearing and plate assembly to work as intended. However, as the prior reviewer mentioned, you can FORCE it to work by inserting the lower hooks into the lower plate and allow it to simply dangle there. I'm not sure I'll ever get it back apart to move it, and it was a real pain to get those bottom hooks in, but it'll do. I'd be a lot happier, though, if it was manufactured correctly. Photos show bottom part as rigged, with the bearing assembly visible 8" below; and top part of rack as intended, with steel plate sitting on bearing assembly.

72-pocket rotating Greeting Card Rack

The product is very nice and arrived prior to its estimated arrival time. However, an incorrect set of directions was included and because I am not a DYI person, I had considerable trouble in putting the stand together. The directions said to throw away large black rings as they were not needed - just insert the hangers into the bearings/rings. This is physically impossible. The instructions showing the bearings/rings do not even state what piece goes on top of the other piece. The "hooks" now fit on top of the black rings that I have placed on top of the bearings/rings at the top. The second black ring is held in place at the bottom by the bottom "hooks" and do not fit on top of the bearings/rings. The "hooks" are not a proper fit but the stand turns and so far the pockets are staying in place. Other than wrong or incomplete directions, I am very happy with the product. Thank you.
