Garrett: "I started working at Displays2go seven or eight years ago depending on who you ask.
I started as a contract photographer.  It was week to week.
So how did I get from photographer to manager?
I have a writing background so when a writing position opened I was asked if I wanted to make the jump from studio to become a writer and I took that opportunity and then from there I just kept on learning new and new things when it came to SEO & website hierarchy and I have had a little bit of experience before.
I'd built my own website for my own personal photography but that was about it.
Everything I know now I learned on the job here.
I like that it's a learning enviroment.
My father was a teacher and an educator for his career and growing up in a household where education was so important really was fundamental in shaping who I am today.
How do I like working with the people at Displays2go?
(Sigh)
Motivational.
I think that sums it up.
I mean you don't hear no a lot.
You hear OK.
How do we do that?
When you're with a group of people as motivated and passionate as the people I work with on a day to day basis it just, it just drives you to be better.
My family is, you know, the utmost importance to me.
My fiancé and our two children.
But how do I balance the work life?
Well, actually Displays2go makes that kind of easy.
I work at a place where I get the opportunity to bring my daughter to school every day.
For me that's huge.
I get to drive her to school every morning, I hop out of the car, one last hug right at the door.
It's a great way for me to kind of to start my morning or end my morning with her.
Where do I see Displays2go in 5 years?
Sky's the limit.
I didn't see us selling interactive touch tables but here we are and whatever the market dictates, whatever technology comes in, we're going to be on the forefront of it.
We're going to be there.
