These black top highboy tables, called cocktail displays, are made with an MDF top and steel stand. The stand of the unit also has a black finish for a uniformed look. These tables were too tall for what we wanted. There was nothing wrong with the tables; in fact, they are very nice. But we wanted to return them and order the shorter cocktail tables instead. The customer service people were very helpful in helping us return them for credit and helped us keep the cost down on shipping the tables back.
