After reading the previous review and running into the same problem I realized that it is critical to install the box BEFORE the base so you have more flexibility in the legs to fit the box in there. Once we did that it went together great.

Ill-Fitting Box

I ordered this product to be a free standing donation box for our institution. Upon arrival, it seemed that the frame had been either damaged during shipping or was improperly constructed, because it would fit neither the base nor the ballot box. I put a lovely crack in the ballot box trying to force the ballot box in between the posts on the frame. It is still lying deconstructed in our receiving area.
