Okay option but not for us.

I ordered two different options to try - this one and a retractable style. We print our own banners in-house on paper, so I needed something that could be ****** and that would hold thinner material than vinyl. The clips on this stand were not tight enough, even when the paper was doubled over, and there isn't any kind of grip or rubbery layer on the metal so the paper just slid out. It would probably work fine for a traditional vinyl banner with a folded edge that would be held in place with the clips as they are.

Didn't work

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I ordered a vinyl banner to go with the stand, and even holding down the clamps as tight as I could my banner (24x48 in) keeps slipping out. The stand itself works fantastically and looks great, it's just it won't hold the banner up. If you're really really delicate you can get it to hang, but any pressure at all, like trying to attach the banner to the bottom clamp and the top slips out. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable hanging it all day and expecting it to stay up. I'm thinking I might just duct take the banner to the crossbars, but it's kind of a shame it won't tighten. The clamps really need a rough strip to help the vinyl grip better, aluminum is just too smooth.

So, this is to update to my 2 star review because the banner kept slipping out of it's holder. Basically, support reached out to me with some pictures showing how to properly use the stand. The correct way is not immediately obvious if you have never used a banner stand before, I suspect that is the issue some of the other poor reviews are having. Basically there are little sawtooth grooves in one piece and the banner needs to be inserted in a small slit right against the grooves to grip properly. When you use the stand correctly it works perfectly.

I like to change out graphics as needed so these work great. I use lightweight banner vinyl so it has a grip to it and it stays in place just fine. I don't understand the negative reviews. I do like that the feet are different now bc the old style broke too easily. I have several of these and recommend to anyone wishing to change their banners as often as they please.
