Unclear instructions, mismatched hardware and holes

The unit can be assembled to be functional... however, the instructions are super vague and I had to find a YouTube video. I also had to drill new holes for the base because the predrilled holes did not line up. The wooden dowels were also about 1/4 inch too long so I had to leave them out because they made the unit buckle.... For the price I paid I'm mostly unhappy with the finally product but it's too much of a hassle to send it back so I'll keep it since I was able to make it functional
